Flag Raising 2019 Flagstaff City Hall at 6:30PM Rainbow Flag Raising Ceremony-Remembering Stonewall. June 20, 2019, at the Flagstaff City Hall lawn. We are honoring & celebrating the 50th year of the historic Stonewall Riots of 1969, in Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan. We will have community members speaking on the inequalities we still face and much more under this administration, and share the achievement we have moved forward for the common good for all.

Suddenlink by Altice and Flagstaff Pride have a partnership in showing the Smithsonian Time Capsule: Beyond Stonewall The Stonewall riots were a series of spontaneous, violent demonstrations by members of the gay community against a police raid that took place in the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn, in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City. They are widely considered to constitute the single most important event leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for gay and lesbian rights in the United States.
