A Series of Smaller Events to Take Place of Traditional Festival
Friends, Family and Community of Pride,
With much consideration and deliberation, the Board of Directors of Northern Arizona Pride Association d/b/a Flagstaff Pride has made the decision to postpone the (in field) Pride in the Pines Festival until June 2022 due to pandemic uncertainty. In its place, we are planning a series of smaller events in person and some virtual for June and beyond. We intend to make Pride visible all month long in Flagstaff. In our initial brainstorm, we have come up with some exciting ideas — ideas that we hope to continue. Please continue to check our website and social media for announcements on future events.
We are looking forward to celebrating 25 years of Pride with an incredible party in the park in 2022. This was a difficult decision. We have monitored the Covid guidelines, CDC recommendations and met with the City of Flagstaff as well Coconino County Health Department. The concerns of in person events with limited capacity, permit restrictions; and social distancing restrictions, we felt the experience of Pride in the Pines would be diminished and we want to present a full Pride experience.
We need to do our part to protect our attendees, vendors, volunteers, community, and entertainers, safety is our first priority for everyone. We know the disappointment this brings everyone; we too are disappointed. We want your festival experience to continue where you can dance, enjoy friends and family, and celebrate!
We will continue to plan and look forward to seeing you at our 2021 events and celebrating in full in 2022!
Thank you for your continued support of Flagstaff Pride over the last 25 years and we will be back together soon!
